During her doctoral program, she focused her research in the area of counseling family members and caregivers of individuals with communication disorders. While studying, she taught counseling within the field of speech-language pathology to graduate students at Kean as an adjunct instructor. Bianca is also an alumna of New York University, where she received her M.S. in communicative sciences & disorders, and participated in a summer study abroad program at Lund University in Sweden. Prior to her graduate studies, Bianca attended Pace University’s Pforzheimer Honors College and earned a B.A. in communication sciences & disorders with a minor in psychology. Currently, Bianca has returned to her alma mater of NYU as an adjunct professor, teaching pediatric practicum to SLP student clinicians. Bianca holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and is a licensed speech-language pathologist in both New York and California state. Bianca is specially trained in DTTC, PROMPT, sensory-motor feeding therapy, tethered oral tissues, and counseling. She has experience working in a variety of settings including outpatient rehabilitation, District 75, special-education preschool, homecare, and private practice. Bianca has a true passion for working with children and families to support optimal communication, with specialization in early language development and speech sound disorders. Prior to her graduate studies, Hannah earned her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Eastern Michigan University. She has several years of experience as an NYC public school teacher prior to becoming a speech-language pathologist. Hannah is a researcher and treating clinician in the Motor Speech Lab at New York University under the supervision of Dr. Maria Grigos, where she is currently studying the impact of caregiver involvement during Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC) treatment for children with childhood apraxia of speech (CAS). Hannah specializes in working with children with speech sound disorders (including CAS), language delays/disorders, and difficulties with literacy.
